Whether your contribution is a lazy two-mile float at Scottsville, an intense whitewater kayak through downtown Richmond, a fishing trip with friends in a skiff below the Enon bridge or a sunset cruise to the Chesapeake Bay, everyone is encouraged to participate in the 2011 James River Run-Off Run-Down.

Whether this is your first or forth river run, a little pre-planning before you register is essential. View the river sections prior to registration to select a section you would like to cover. Once you know your section click the button below!

Are you feeling competitive? Join us for the James River Splash and Dash, a competitive tube race which will take place near Richmond’s Belle Isle. The course includes a 2-mile trail course run, a 1/3 mile tube paddle across a stretch of the James, and finally a dash to the finish line! Prizes will be awarded for various categories. After the race, enjoy an after party that includes a band, food, beer and more!
